Kazan University is the oldest Russian university, which was founded more than 200 years ago. This is the main educational center of Tatarstan. Foreign students live here in the residential quarter "Universiade Village", where there are modern comfortable hotel-type dormitories. KFU has a department for the adaptation of foreigners of the Department of External Relations together with other departments of the university, which helps students in matters of accommodation in dormitories, events, student self-government, medical care, obtaining a medical policy, migration registration, employment. Here you can use a transfer for 1000 rubles-from the airport and for 400 rubles-from the train stations. In addition, the University hosts many interesting events.
Kazan is the sports capital of Russia. Every year, the city hosts a large number of sports competitions, both urban and global in scale. In 2013, the XXVII World Summer Universiade was held in Kazan, which was attended by 77 volunteers from among foreign students of KFU, 33 of them as attaches to heads of delegations.
